Tecno and Skyesports partner for the Call of Duty Mobile Pova Cup

It is said that the Tecno phone company and the Skyesports organization have joined forces for a mobile gaming championship to be held in India in 2023.

GSMArena reports that Tecno has partnered with Southeast Asia’s leading esports organization Skyesports for the Call Of Duty Mobile Pova Cup, which will be held throughout the year in India. Under the agreement, Tecno will be allowed to include the Pova brand in events hosted and broadcast by Skyesports.

Skyesports will broadcast matches throughout the tournament on the organization’s social media channels in English, Hindi Tamil It will be broadcast in 4 Telugu languages. Tecno India’s CEO Arijet Talapatra also said that in this country of 600 million smartphone users, there are about half a billion people who are interested in mobile games.

Shiva Nandy, founder and CEO of Skyesports, a brand of JetSynthesis, puts a more realistic number. According to Nandy, there are 396 million mobile gamers in India, who spend an average of 14 hours a week playing games.

The partnership with Pova will allow Tecno to promote the company’s Midrange series to a younger and tech-savvy audience. According to Tecno’s press release, India will be the world’s largest mobile gaming market by 2022.

The Indian mobile market is more than 3 times larger than the United States and 2.5 times larger than China. The total number of mobile game downloads in 2020 is 6.5 billion to 15 billion, with India representing 17% of game downloads.
